Silver Oak - Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley
Don't wait too much longer on this lithe CA cabernet or you'll likely lose the freshness of fruit that remains. Dark fruits have matured into lighter ones, but most noted in my notes was the balance . Tannins are soft and the wine is not over-oaked.
2002
Regusci - Cabernet Sauvignon
Fantastic depth, balance, fruit, and finish. Fruit! Supple tannins give way to a finish that foreshadows a long life. Couldn't wait to find more when we were finished licking the bottle. Accompanying meal: Grilled filet mignon with cracked pepper, fresh salad and orzo salad with currants, Italian parsley and black olives.
