2008
Tensley - Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard
I tried this wine 6 times over the past 8 months and it has a raw, biting aftertaste. The bouquet is spicy and the first taste is smooth, however, it loses everything the further along it goes. I don't know how this got a 95 from WS. I purchased these from the winery at two different times and are kept in a controlled cellar.
2003
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars - Cabernet Sauvignon SLV
Decanted for well over sn hour with frequent tatsings
2005
Auteur - Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard
Pleasant to drink but with no real structure. Finish fades quickly with a little tartness.
2006
Paul Hobbs - Chardonnay Richard Dinner Vineyard
Predictable Hobbs release. Wonderful fruit, pineapple and melon. Good acidity with a consistant, smooth finish from tip of tongue to back of palate.
2006
Pax - Syrah Walker Vine Hill Vineyard
Very tight upon initial taste but decants rapidly to release a smooth, velvety, currant filled mouth. Silky on the finish
