2001
Château de Nages Red Rhone Blend
Wow... forgot that I'd had this before. It's every bit as good as it was in April this year. Very plummy initially; over time the fruity nose mellows out. It's a completely different experience than the cabs we've had; lower key, subtle and more complex. Not much tannin except when I first opened the bottle. Let it breath for an hour and it was much better. I love the patina-ed look of the color; the warm color of nylon stockings from the 40's: not the solid, dense nearly opaque quality and intense dark color of a younger wine.

Château de Nages Red Rhone Blend
Outstanding but best after 3 days
Opened 3 nights ago. Has improved each night and this is the best. Probably won't last till the 4th night.
Purple in color. Low rim variation. Slow legs. Chocolate, Cherry, Vanilla. Full bodied. Fleshy texture. Long finish.
2007
Honig - Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Earthy, almost smokey. Very silky and well balanced
