San Guido - Sassicaia
Wonderful wine, and getting better, still very young. A bit more aggressive than some vintages with some what sharp tannins. Terrific definition overall. Turns a rustic italian meal into a memorable experience. Rustic and real.
Catena Alta - Malbec Mendoza
Splendid. Dark purple, full fruit, good nose, long finish. Abundant tanin, quite young. Should last 15 years, maybe more. Precise and delineated.
Staglin Family - Chardonnay
Still really good, but easing past maturity.
Scarecrow - M Etain
Opens with black currant, follows with vanilla and mint. Dark brooding purple in the glass, wonderful aroma. A very well made wine, still a bit young and will probably improve for about 5 more years. Distinctive in flavor profile, and elegant.
