Phelps, Joseph - Insignia
Purple colored. The nose is full of sweet red berry fruit and tobacco. It is big on the attack, but fades quickly to a shortened finish. Still delicious. Don't decant and drink now.

Laurent, Dominique - Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru
Ruby color with some reduction on the nose. Medium bodied with dark cherry fruit on the palate. Sappy long layered finish. This has a ways to go before showing its full potential. Decant 2 hours.

Kennedy, Kathryn - Syrah Maridon Vineyard
Dark burgundy color. Blackberry, raisin on the palate with medium tannins. Good acidity with plenty of life left. The finish is layered and lush.

Pahlmeyer - Merlot
Dark ruby in color, with just a slight bit of bricking around the edge. Cedar, and chocolate on the nose and palate. The tannins are fully integrated and the fruit is still singing out after an hour of air. Nice long finish. Drink up but there are still a few years left.

Moine-Hudelot - Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru
Rose colored. Ripe cherry fruit, peppery, medium bodied with chewy sappy tannins. The acidity suggests that this has a few years to go.
