Mangiacane - Chianti Classico Riserva
Really tasty little Chianti. Had over two nights, second night even a little better. More acidic and tang the second night. Both good though, perfect for the Chicken Parmigiana the first night.
Soldera (Case Basse) - Brunello di Montalcino
Decanted and poured back in bottle for transport. Opened about an hour later. Good, subtle, but not outstanding. Really solid but lacked some punch.
Canalicchio di Sopra - Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
Really not the right environment for this wine. Good, did not blow me away. Did not decant and had bad glasses. Solid though, not going to hold against the wine.
Chateau Montelena - Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
Always like. TJ felt it was oakie but I thought smooth. Still lots of fruit.
Poggione - Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (I Paganelli)
Good, drank right out of the bottle. Should have opened up some, better as time went on. Sill a very solid wine and could go even five years longer.
