RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

1983 Shafer - Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select
Surprising red berry fruit remains in the nose, although beginning to diminish. Balances out well with the remaining tannins to strong cabernet sauvignon finish.

(Tasted Feb 24, 2014)

1990 Beaucastel - Chateauneuf du Pape
Forward nose of cedar & dried fruits with beautiful balance on the pallet. Lingering after taste with sufficient fruit to age well for the near future.

(Tasted Feb 24, 2014)

2010 Morlet Family - Pinot Noir Joli Coeur
Jammy black fruits and cooked cherry nose reminiscent of a Chambertin. The forward fruit softens the rich tannins that will permit this wine to evolve with bottle age. Has a long peasant finish as well.

(Tasted Jan 13, 2014)

2004 Sea Smoke - Pinot Noir Southing
Showing some age but, still delightful. Mild cherry/cedar nose with soft tannins and fruit beginning to diminish. Lingering finish.

(Tasted Dec 16, 2013)

2004 San Filippo - Brunello di Montalcino Le Lucere
Cooked Cherry, Cedar nose with great balance and mouth feel. Lingering after taste with ample fruit to balance the tannins.

(Tasted Nov 17, 2013)
