2007
32 Winds - Cabernet Sauvignon
Solid cab structure (a little tannic) with of black cherries, espresso, black currants, cassis and dark coco and tobacco. Medium bodied with hints of minerality and acidity. Fruit is sourced from a fine single vineyard site on top of Diamond Mountain. Rated 92 points by Spectator I will give it 90 points.
2008
Guarachi - Cabernet Sauvignon
A big, dark, concentrated and juicy Cab with big fruit that is still evolving and integrating. Black fruits, Dark plums, licorice and spices with minerality elements, slightly hedonistic. 2006 is considered by many a hit or miss year, but I think that time is key with the 06 Altus. I like this wine and highly recommend it if you can still find it. 90.4 points
2008
Robert Mondavi - Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District (Unfiltered)
The intense color of this wine provides a preview to the complex and intense aromas of red berry fruit, mocha-chocolate and herb garden sage. Fresh blueberry and blackberry flavors are accentuated by a vibrant acidity and balanced with creamy oak
2006
Shafer - Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select
Nice concentration and Intense core. Abundant black fruit with agenerous oak, flavors pleasing and a finish. Good body, yet overbearing.
