Quintessa - Red
After decanting about an hour, this bordeaux blend styled wine opened up nicely. Tannins were like drinking liquid velvet. Dark fruits and a hint of cocoa lingered on my tounge. I really enjoyed this wine and will be looking for more.
Mumm Napa - Brut Santana
For the price, this was a surprisingly good champagne. Crisp and creamy with a pleasant fruit nose.
Alpha Omega - Chardonnay
Nice Chardonnay, but nothing special at this price level. Floral fruits, clean finish.
Caymus - Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection
You expect Caymus Special Selection Cab to be good, but his wine is fabulous, and it does the 2007 vintage proud. Very approachable now after decating. Good dark fruit, with a hint of vanilla, firm but smooth tannins, and it lingers pleasantly in your mouth with a nice finish. While this will age well, I don't think I can wait.
Arietta - Claret
This was a decent wine, but I was expecting much more at this price point.
