RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2006 Vineyard 7 & 8 - Cabernet Sauvignon 7
Beautiful, full nose of ripe cherry and raspberry. Lovely, fine tannins add structure and depth to this exceptional Cab which has a long, smooth finish for a young, complex wine. Great now (with filet mignon, pork or roasted chicken), and should be world class with another decade of bottle age.

2004 Quilceda Creek - Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard
A marvelous, nearly perfect Cabernet. Very approachable and delicious even without food now, with all the structure needed to show beautifully for another decade or two. Silky tannins and delicious, balanced notes of plum, cherry and just the slightest hint of tobacco and chalk meld in a smooth and subtle attack. This wine is complex, yet still "light," without the unctuous, palate staining power of some other world class cabs.

NV Jacques Selosse - Brut Blanc de Blanc Initiale
Worthy of a New Year's Eve dinner. This wine is very Cristal-ish, with fine bubbles and a lovely brioche and yeast noise. Balanced and delicious as an aperitif, but big enough to work as a great food wine, too. This artisanal champagne maker is a superstar in the making. Don't miss trying a Jacques Selosse champagne if you are lucky enough to find a bottle or two of his small production wine.
