RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2002 Pierre Gimonnet - Cuvee Special Club
An elegant wine, featuring black licorice and spice notes that wind through the flavors of red berry, spiced orange peel and hazelnut. This displays fine balance and texture, with a subtle juiciness to the acidity throughout, as well as a zesty hint of lemon peel on the finish. Drink now through 2017. -AN - WS

2001 David Arthur - Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
Rich and extracted, gushing with exotic currant, blackberry, wild berry and black cherry fruit accented by pretty mocha-vanilla oak shadings. Finishes with a full, focused, deeply concentrated aftertaste and a sense of elegance. Best from 2005 through 2014. 485 cases made. -JL

(Tasted Apr 30, 2004)

2000 Alban - Grenache Alban Estate Vineyard
Unlike any wine I've ever had from California, and truly unique in its expression of Grenache. A tremendous effort, enormously complex, rich and flavorful, with tiers of spicy black cherry, wild berry, sour cherry, anise, game and floral aromas, turning dense and earthy, with chewy tannins. Best from 2004 through 2012. 400 cases made. -JL

(Tasted Feb 1, 2003)
