RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

1998 Zind-Humbrecht - Pinot Gris Heimbourg
This has evolved beautifully in bottle and continues to shine. Rich golden color. Lovely, unctuous, rich, intense (but not overly so), slightly sweet; well balanced; good w/food (esp. foie); nectar of apricots and tropical fruit; delicious. Not quite as intense and complex as the ZH '98 'Clos Windsbuhl' but close and very delicious and of V.T. quality. Will last for several more years

1999 Michel & Stephane Ogier - Cote-Rotie
Consistent notes. Med.-dark ruby to mahogany color; full nose of black fruit, haberdashery, cigar box, & spice; similar flavors with additional notes of camphor, raspberries and a hint of mushrooms; very good concentration, complexity, and balance; good acid level gives vibrancy; soft integrated tannins; lovely long finish. An excellent Cote Rotie that is now fully mature but will hold for several years.

2003 Produttori del Barbaresco - Barbaresco
Brick to tawny red; lovely nose of violets, herbs, cedar and black fruit. On the palate, the fruit is fading, dry tannins are now dominating. Drink up.

2002 Denis Bachelet - Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes
Consistent notes. Brilliant, intensely flavored, very classy. Good color; fragrant, very stylish nose; med.-full bodied; lovely balance & intensity; vigorous and rich; very, very impressive finish, especially for a Villages level wine. Drinking well and should continue to for several more years.

1995 Frederic Esmonin - Ruchottes-Chambertin
Brick/mahogany red color; slightly funky nose of dried fruit (fig, prune, raisin) with gamey/meaty notes; similar flavors; decent intensity of fruit; soft, integrated tannins. A good but not grand cry quality Burgundy that probably won't improve further. Drink now and over the next 3 or 4 years.

Changes to Marketplace selling off-site
As of 3/1/14, apparently there is no longer a way for the community to buy and sell wine off-site through Vinfolio, and transferring the wine to Vinfolio first would result in being charged storage fees until it is sold and...
