Rich, focused, somewhat candied, but a good wine bursting with flavors of marzipan and ripe apple.

Laurel Glen - Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Mountain
Years of life ahead of it. White flowers, boysenberry, blackberry and dried herbs on the palate. Firm tannins and fresh acidity. Wonderful, sentimental bottle that we finally opened.

Wind Gap - Pinot Noir Woodruff Vineyard
Way too young to have been drunk at this stage. Savory, structured and tightly wound. Dark fruit flavors and savory herb flavors dominate. Good underlying freshness to the wine. I wouldn't open another bottle until at least 2013.

Epoch - Ingenuity
Full-throttle flavor. This is the second bottle we drank of the Ingenuity and I have to say that it wasn't as enjoyable as the first one. This go-around, the wine felt a little heavy on the palate. Still a good, well-made wine that will make a lot of people happy.
