Aromas of candied orange and tangerine, dried tropical fruits, fig, prunes, raisins, notes of clove and ginger and caramel, like orange creme brulee. In addition, herbal notes appear on palate -- like ricola, but not unpleasant.
Pleasant bouquet of flavors, just slightly sugary for me, even for dessert wine.
Appearance: orangey-brown to yellowish on rim. High viscosity.
Structure: med+ acid, 17% alcohol, med+ finish, med-med+ finish.

The colour of burnished copper. A sweet golden syrup-esqe nose with raisins and the merest hint of alcohol. Christmas pudding in a glass. Dense, viscous and very sweet with superb depth on the mid palate and endless waves of flavour: toffee, nuts, raisins, a slight sour red cherry note and brandy butter. Not as long in the finish as I would have hoped.
