Sparkling, clear ruby in color, this very young Californian Sangiovese smells of red cherries and raspberries. Although very tart on the palate, it has some depth and a fairly luscious mouthfeel for a New World version of this varietal. A moderately long finish of cherry and clove lingers mid-palate. Would be good with a juicy burger and sweet potato fries.
