Vibrant purple-red in color, with an inky nose of black and blue fruit, black pepper, and 'earthy' root beer aroma, the palate is broad and deep, with blueberry, cassis, and even lavender flavors tightening up into mid-palate tannins. It will be interesting to see how this wine develops in a few years, but it is quite enjoyable now for its intense, blue fruit and floral qualities.
