Established by owner Kathy Joseph in 1989, Fiddlehead's focus is Sauvignon Blanc and a variety of Pinot Noirs from her Santa Rita Hills Estate, as well as select vineyards in Oregon's Willamette Valley. A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
