Very nice, but does not have the nose or the body so memorable in the 2007. Next time will do 2007 blind with the 2009.

Always a great wine at a relatively reasonable price for Napa Cabernet. Dark berries, dense and full bodied and a long, smooth finish that has a hint of spice. Not quite to the level of 2007 though.

This one would definitely benefit from decanting. It began to open up after about 2 hours of breathing. A friend with whom I was sharing the bottle indicated the oak was prevalent on the palate. But that was not my experience. I found this to be a beautifully balanced wine. Ripe, dark fruit on the palate. I'm thinking it was dark chocolate or perhaps truffles on the finish. So pleased I have two bottles left to enjoy!

I opened this bottle and immediately ran it through my Vinturri. This is an outstanding bottle of wine bursting with ripe fruit and a beautiful finish. I highly recommend it.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
