This deep purple-red field blend from Northern Italy offered a nose rich with wildflowers and dark-fleshed plum. On the palate, black fruit was very nicely balanced with floral tones, spice, and an earthiness that never overpowers but rather enhances the appreciation of the fruit. An excellent pairing with mushroom risotto.
