Plush mouthfeel, dense flavors. Strangely not much nose, but a really good wine.

Very full bodied and rich. Loads of black currants, blackberries, mocha and coffee. Well balanced also, with very smooth tannins and a long, long finish.

side by side with a 2008, both were very similar in aroma and palate. little fruit if any, slate on the palate with a citrus zest finish, albeit shorter than expected.

Had this bottle during the final preds game 2012. Big fruit, round and velvety. Looking forward to this wine over time as the fruit tones down.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
