Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

This is really an incredible wine. Not sure why it pulled a lower price and lower WA rating than the 2008 vintage, because this is really a better wine in all respects.

I thought this might be too young. It probably was but it was delicious. Purple/ruby in color. The nose is big with cherries, cassis and some earthiness. Also some brown tobacco and some vanilla. Tons of fruit, big and open on the palate. Juicy, rich texture. Easy to drink as it tastes delicious. There is some complexity here, probably due to the blend, but I think it will age out just fine. Still, quite delicious now and much more accessible than I thought it would be.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
