Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

Smoky; oak is there, but not overpowering; glycerin mouthfeel; smooth tannins; dark fruits; probably has a high pH; finish lasts a long time, but the intensity falls off considerably after about 30 sec. -- finish lingers for a good 30 sec. beyond that, however; hints of spice. Drinking great now. Overall, this is an amazing wine that really hits my sweet spot.

A rich powerful wine. Nice perfume on the nose. Very dark fruit and dense ripe berry flavors. Needs a little time to mellow, but an exceptional decadent wine.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
