Producer Notes

Farming a 24-acre vineyard on Mt. Veeder led Brian and Lori Nuss to introduce their own wine in the 1996 vintage. Never more than a few hundred cases of their Cab Franc-based proprietary blend ever get into distribution, and it has has become one of the insider favorites for those who enjoy mountain grown, intense wines that age beautifully. Blend 60% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cab Sauvignon, 15% Merlot Total production 325 cases Lush, velvety with medium full tannins Finsh with cassis, black cheeries, cranberry and leather, deep purple color

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
