Producer Notes

Owners Ken and Grace Evenstad arrived in Oregon in 1989 to pursue their passion for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their winemaker Tony Rynders, who holds a Masters in Enology from UC Davis, crafts impeccably balanced wines primarily from three low-yielding estate properties: Jerusalem Hill, Evenstad and Winery Hill. Syrah is produced under their Rock Block label.

A great example of the 2008 vintage in the Willamette Valley. Rich, ripe strawberry on the nose. Fruit has silky palate with a touch of french oak, and a finish that continues on and on. Nice balance between power and finesse.

A classy Oregon Pinot that displays ripe strawberry and blueberry notes mixed with a bit of earth. Juicy boysenberry and cherry on the palate. Medium body, nice minerality, clean acidity carries through to the finish.

A very well made wine, just as we have come to expect from Domaine Serene. This is still a baby wrapped up in it's new oak and ripe fruit. Chocolate covered cherries. Drinking well now but shows even greater potential.

Drink Dates 2011-2014

Showing a medium ruby-brick color in the glass, this amiable Oregon Pinot displays expressive aromas of taut raspberry and black cherry. The red fruit is complimented with a floral touch and framed by loamy soil and sweet oak. Flavors on the palate follow the nose with a medium body and a radiant backbone of acidity that carries through for a persistent and elegant finish.
