Had Pinot Noir-like coloring but fuller bodied and really had that Etna soil chalkiness. Would have enjoyed more aeration but a real solid wine with good presence with some years ahead. Very silky and glides over the palate effortlessly. Wouldn't mind a few more bottles.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
