Deep ruby in color with aromas of raspberry cordial, dried herbs, and a hint of grilled meat. The palate is very dry, with a dusty tannin quality, lip-smacking acidity, and flavors of black cherry and black peppercorn. This is a very nice example of Aglianico's promise in California and would fare well with meat sauce pastas or BBQ.
