Deep red to purple in my glass. We detected a pleasing aroma of berry, horse manure and cherry cough syrup. Don't let these descriptions put you off. It was a great smell. This was a sleek, medium bodied jewel with raspberry, cherry, some mineral, pepper and earthy notes at the finish.

Williams-Selyem do it again with a truly excellent pinot. Ripe raspberries on the bouquet complemented by cherries and a hint of pie crust on the palate. Sinfully delicious!

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
