Opaque ruby red with shades of dark purple. The nose is filled with wild game meat, spice, tree bark, dark berry fruit, wild flowers and a hint of blood sausage. Dry, high- acidity, coarse tannin that envelope the palate, medium+ body, blackberry and ripe plum, all these components are strong but not playing nicely with each other just yet. It has medium- length. This wine needs about 4-7 years to soften and for the flavors to intertwine, in other words a classic Saint-Estéphe. Note that there is much extract here for a less than ideal vintage.
