Nice pinot noir. Wonderful bouquet. Medium body. Strawberries, distinct pinot flavor. Not as good as the 2007. A bit too much tartness/tanginess, even after 4 hours of air. Tasted again after 24 hours. Improved: less harsh. Tasted again after 48 hours. Even better, smoother. This wine definitely needs to be decanted and spend some time with air before drinking.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
