2006 I remember as a good Nebbiolo, 2007 was too "warm", so I was curious about 2008 would give. And from the bottle came - nothing. The young wine was completely closed. After two hours in the decanter, it started to give off some fruit aromas, hints of cherries etc and perhaps some mineral, but nothing overwhelming. Pleasing acids and a nice, juicy mouth feeling made it go well with the home cooked Bolognese, and weak tannins make for an easy drinker. Not much in there to suggest Nebbiolo yet, blind I would probably have guessed a Barbera?
