This is my first Slovenian Ribolla, I have had the Italian version (Ribolla Gialla) a few times but find this one to be the best version I have yet to come by.
Color: Rich gold hues, a touch cloudy from the leesey fermentation.
Nose: Starfruit, spice, savory pineapple, lemon curd
Palate: Initially a deceivingly fat impression, the wine balances out over the mid-palate to a juicy and full flavored finish. I really like this. A great alternative white that to me could easily be a mainstream wine given the right exposure and open mind.
