Serious funk and plum on the nose, rustic & earthy for sure. Color is a muted dark cherry. Dark berry fruit along with black cherry and peppery spice. A lot to enjoy for an under $20 cali pinot.

Drink Dates 2010-2014

This is burgundian in style. It's lightweight on the palate and shows earthy notes of mushrooms and humus. The finish is quite long, and overall the wine is well structured. It's a good food wine. Drink now through 2014.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
