vanilla, roasted caramel, crem brulee on the nose. Very aromatic & full bodied. I wasn't picking up a lot of 'fruit' notes, mostly notes of oak influence. I didn't taste the citrus fruit that people say are typical of this wine. But, paradoxically, it did not taste over-oaked, but well balanced and full of flavor, which told me that there was big fruit in there. Impressive wine- more fruit/minerality would have given this a very high score from me.

Excellent example of California chardonnay at its best. Honeysuckle and stone fruits on the mid-palate, good balance, decent finish. Smooth as silk. Plenty of time left; should get even better

Buttery smooth. Drink on it's own. Do not have with Thai food.

Golden colored and unfiltered, with a peach and smoky nose. This is still young but opens up after an hour of air displaying delicious honeysuckle flavor mixed with peat on the palate. It will undboutably get better over the next 3-5 years.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
