Producer Notes

After playing 13 seasons in the National Football League, Terry Hoage, with his wife Jennifer, purchased 26 acres in Paso Robles in 2002 and planted to Rhone varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Counoise. Production for all wines is steady at 1600 cases. The winery mailing list is closed.

This deep, dark red wine - 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah - offers up aromas of candied cherries, clove, graphite, and hints of anise. On the palate, it is relatively restrained, but black cherry fruit, sassafras, and burnt sugar flavors seem most prominent.
