I wish I had more of this. Quite elegant, Bordeaux style. It may be majority cabernet but it exceeds the finesse of a blend of the cab cultivars. Like velvet, great structure, long finish, getting better every day. Black fruit, casis, vanilla, and a bit of spice on the finish. Classic Rutherford dust character. Really good.

Drinking well now. Needs an hour to open as it starts our very fruit forward. Soft tannins.

I found this wine to be somewhat disappointing given the price of the bottle, but it did improve after sitting overnight under vacuum seal. Fairly tannic wine with dark and light fruit that is very prominent, but overall too acidic. This wine has the "stuff" that is needed but lacks the integration it should have. The following day it was much more smooth and enjoyable, but still not integrated. Maybe it is too young and needs time, but I believe most wine should be enjoyable in every stage of its development. 92 points with hope of development and integration.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
