2007 Seghesio Family - Zinfandel Sonoma County Zinfandel - USA - California - Sonoma - Red

deep colour , Fruity note nose/ Palate blueberries moca chocolate smooth tannins long very good

A nice zinfandel in full maturity. Good dark fruit some pepper on the finish.

Garnet and maroon in color. Aromas of strawberry, cherries and a touch of wood. On the palate I get a good burst of dark fruit, oak, rose and pepper. Awesome balance and integration of fruit, oak, tannin and acid. My family loved it with some great wet ribs with a medium minus spice. I have 5-6 more in the cellar and I will be pulling several more before the year is over.

Deep claret and slightly opaque, still young looking. The wine had the expected smells and tastes, blackberries, sour black cherry, warm dried spices, smoke, pepper all on the nose. Plum, smoke, cherry and blackberry on the palate. A strong but medium bodied wine with a slightly sticky texture. This bottle was quite sweet and a little indistinctive, perhaps a touch fat.

Took two days to fully open to dark fruit, cassis and spicy/oaky fruit. Decent, but not great.

A 89 point wine 10 months ago but a 92 today. Drinking very well now

Great value Zin...Balanced tannins and lots of dark fruits. Very enjoyable wine!!

I drank my first bottle with left over leg of lamb on 1/24/10. It had a great bouquet of black cherry, blueberry, vanilla, spice and sage aromas. The palate was smooth, well balanced and a touch hot with flavors that follow the nose.

Yup, wish I had more of this in the cellar....

Very nice, lives up to the hype. Mouth-coating without being too thick, with great Zin flavor and a long finish.

aroma:plum, slight mint...taste and texture: fruit forward, plum, cherry, good balance, high acid but still balances out with the fruit, some dark chocolate late

Drank for wife's birthday. Lots of berry flavors. Acidic out of the bottle for the first thirty minutes or so, then evens out. Rich, well balanced zin.

Really good zin for the money! Well deserved place on W.S. top 10. Very luscious and earthy with big berry flavors.

Drank in honor of its WS #10 of 08 win. Nice dark cherry and blackberry, with a bit of carmel and dusty earth. A bit hot on the finish at the moment, but this should mellow with age. A nice zin, in a style that is not over-the-top but still bold.

up front fruit leads way to a light weight zin which showed its young spice and zest. Interesting complexity of flavors on the finish that was nice and unexpected
