Premiering her own brand with the 2006 vintage, Helen Keplinger has already been active in wine on two continents. She has worked with Heidi Barrett and Kathy Joseph in California, and made the first three vintages of Melis in Priorat. Drink Dates 2010-2012

A great southern rhone blend of 90% Grenache and 10% syrah. Red fruit is well balanced with ripe tannins and nice acidity.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
