2007 Clos de los Siete Proprietary Blend - Argentina - Mendoza - Red

Full bodied, well rounded, fruit forward. Cherry, slight plum. Excellent value.

Good for an everyday wine but nothing special.

Very full bodied complex with nice fruit. Finish could be stronger. I think this would age well.

Good robust wine - excellent for a late summer BBQ - lots of spice and peppery notes

Dark color, fairly full bodied with a lot of tannins and less fruit than I anticipated but really opened up after several hours in the bottle. A fantastic value.

Medium purple in the glass, this wine has a deep earthy nose of wet dirt, dried black cherries, and wet leather aromas. In the mouth it is equally as dark with black cherry, graphite, cassis, and mud flavors, all cloaked in leathery tannins. The wine, frankly, is a little closed and tight. It improves with some air, but likely needs a year or two to reach its full potential. Not as good as other recent vintages I have had.
