Producer Notes

Former Olympian and retired NHL player Valeri Bure embarked on his wine project after a chance encounter during a visit to Napa Valley. It resulted in collaboration with Luc Morlet (Morlet Family, and formerly winemaker at Peter Michael) to produce a pair of wines that premiered in 2008. Production is less than 350 cases of a Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc blend and a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. More »

good young dense wine with vanilla, blackberry mint, mineral and forest floor. Has 5 to 10 years to go. Great Oakville fruit. Hard to find, only 125 cases made.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
