This was too plummy and rather flabby and simple for my tastes. Could have used more acidity and complexity. Did not reflect varietal character. That said, it's a decent wine, but not what I was expecting based on the last bottle I consumed (a 2006). Will try another bottle soon.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
