Opaque and deep red, the 2007 Paramour is a luscious cuvee of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. There are explosive aromas of dark fruit on the nose including blueberry, loganberry, and cassis, along with undertones of dark chocolate and cedar. On the palate, this fruit-driven wine has wonderful grip, a velvety texture, and a balanced composition with additional cedar, tobacco, cocoa, and lingering mint and rosemary on the finish.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
