Best part of the wine is the nose and the first sip, then it's a bit downhill. Has a telling Oregon Pinot nose and there's nice cherry and a bit of acid then it fades. An easy drinker but nothing extraordinary. Might have been on the down swing. After vacuum sealing for a night and finishing the second half of the bottle it has better up front fruit and a quick flash of mouth coating tannins but still fades so still feels past its prime but seems to have opened a bit and is a light, easy drinking Pinot.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
