Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

Fine med.-dark color; moderate nose of spice, vanillin oak, and black fruit; sweet red & black fruit of moderate intensity and complexity on the palate; med.-long finish. 14.4% alcohol. Tannins have softened and integrated; good bottle development. This is elegant and complex with a high style that will disappoint those looking for the typical high alcohol, over extracted Zin.

Quite lean and acidic; not giving up much in the way of fruit. Short finish. Nice bouquet of raspberries and black currant, however. Tastes like an unripe vintage. I doubt that more bottle age will correct these problems. Rather disappointing.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
