First off Beautiful Label. This 2007 is a 100% Tempranillo from La Mancha. I'm a big fan Don Quixote, so anytime I hear La Mancha I grin a little. Deep ruby red color with violet hues. I get aromas of Cherry, Sweet Blueberries and Anise with hints of Baseball Mitt, Tobacco, Tea, Pepper and Oak. Flavors of Plum, Blackberry, Cherry and Earth on the palate. Lot's of soft oak and blueberries on a long finish. Dry, Medium Tannins, Smooth Acidity. Lot's of fruit on the mid-palate. This wine says "Cease the knocking at thy craven knees and prepare to do battle!". For the price point this wine brings it.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
