Ruby in color. Low rim variation. Slow legs. Forest floor and black pepper on the nose. Cherry flavors throughout without overt fruitiness. Nice tannin structure. Great food wine. Medium bodied. Juicy texture. Long finish.

13% ABV. Opened and poured through the Vinturi into a decanter, followed over two hours. No formal notes, from memory. Only had a couple of sips of this wine, as everyone seemed to love it. Nice restrained clean, tree fruits, paired well with goat and soft cheeses. Enough earth to keep the wine honest. Not complex but pleasing to drink. Al says that it is wine that she would be willing to drink as a daily drinker, and I agree. Nice wine.

Five generations of Perrin winemaking culminate here as you breathe in aromas of red plum preserve, ripe strawberry, floral, spice, chicory, and earthy tones. There's plenty of juicy cherry and raspberry flavour, surrounded by supple tannins on the medium-bodied palate. Enjoy this food-friendly and charming red with casual dishes (pizza or hamburgers) or more sophisticated fare (grilled gourmet sausages, game stew, steak). This is a rock solid Cote Du Rhone and although very young it still drinks very well. Very nice purity of fruit. Clean and balanced with very nice Cote Du Rhone characteristics. Pepper, minerality, and some herb and meat characteristics. I will buy more and wait for it to develop.
