Martinelli Winery is steeped in tradition - the founders were Giuseppe Martinelli and Luisa Vellutini, originally from a village in Tuscany, who eloped as teenagers and landed in Sonoma in 1887. Ripe, rich, full of layer after layer of flavor. This is consistently one of my favorite Zins when I'm looking for full throttle style. If it lost just a little heat it would merit an even higher score.

Very ripe, with high alcohol and almost syrupy mouthfeel. Quaffable and tasty, but fairly standard Turley amped-up style.
