Acidity really settled down over 4 years of bottle age. Earthy, cherry fruit.

This is the second bottle of the 07 I have had. It had more briary tart notes than what I remembered. Not on my favorite pinot list for the year, it was ok. Decent aromas of bing cherry and mineral. A finish that was not memorable.

$35. Light ruby color. Good amount of fruit on nose, dirt, dissipates over time. Lots of fruit on palate, no wow aspect. No tannin. Short to medium finish that is ok. Made well.

This wine is gorgeous already. Classic notes of red fruit - cherry and strawberry with just the right amount of vanilla and cola. This is exactly what a great Pinot should be.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
