black fruit and minerality on the nose. Broad entry on the palate, with fine semi-integrated tannins, full bodied with layers of black fruit, cassis and spice on the palate, very long finish. This is a yound beauty.

This was a religious experience. Laser precision and incredible minerality...near perfect wine. This remains one of my alltime favorite wines.

Very nice, albeit typical big wine, very approachable with a huge fruity nose and a wonderful (though decidedly food-unfriendly) drinker.

16.3% alcohol; 63% Syrah, 24% Grenache, 13% Mourvedre Aromas: room-filling rich black and purple stone fruits, carbon, licorice, peppercorn, cinnamon and slightly dried figs Palate: dimensionally distinctive with alcohol surprising masked behind the "wall of fruit". The flavors range from salt to smoke-kissed blackberry and sweet spices; cinnamon, nutmeg, licorice and bright cherry. The texture through the finish shows firm acidity Impression: nothing shy here - gives from the get-go and doesn't let up
