Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

I first tasted this when it was released i Norway some 6 months ago, and was not overly impressed. I ame beginning to change my mind now. Decanted for a couple of hours. The nose is in no way opulent and intrusive - it's rather witheld and "siviliced", rather soft and moderate. But it is so elegant, and so Barbaresco, and so lovely. On the palate it gives the same impression - elegant, refined, medium bodied, lovely acids. But the finish is a tannic shock that lasts on for a good while. The lot that this bottle comes from, contains 25% riserva grape material. This is going to be very, very good!

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
