Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

Producer Notes

McPrice Myers' introduction to wine was during his mid-20s while he was managing specialty grocery stores. With no formal training, he dove into the Central Coast wine scene when he was 27, and created his first release in 2002. Myers sources fruit from high profile sites such as Larner, Purisima Mountain and Stolpman for his small production Syrah and Grenache.

Shows a beautiful nose of cherry and black raspberry. The palate has solid acidity with orange flowers in the middle with excellent texture. The finish is smooth, round black raspberry. The wine shows best served at 55 degrees.

Drink Dates 2009-2013

Ocean spray cranberry juice and over-steeped black tea. Light acid, big on the fruit/alcohol/tannin. Nice wine to smoke a cigar with, but not complete enough on its own.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
